WAN

how big does a network have to be to be considered a WAN? and how is big measured? number of nodes? physical size?

if it is physical size how big is a wan?

if it is nodes, how big is a wan?

post your thoughts as comments and we will see if my network counts as a wan...

A lose definition of a WAN would be a network that connects LANs across a broad area (100,000m+)
I think your network might be better labeled as a small CAN (Campus Area Network) because it connects more than one building but over a smaller distance.
